COVID 19 Safety Protocols

At True Baja, our guests and staff’s safety is our top priority. For this reason, during these times of uncertainty due to COVID-19, we subscribe to the effort to flatten the curve of contagion.

And so we have decided to heed all the recommendations established by COEPRIS and the federal and Baja California Sur State authorities, with the objective of offering fun tours in the safest way possible.

The most important thing for us is to carry our business in the most professional, responsible and safe way for our guests and staff, and so we’ll adhere to the following guidelines for social distancing and gear sanitizing protocols so our guests can feel safe when they join us in our adventures:

In Tour

  • Mandatory use of facemasks while riding transportation to and from activity.
  • Use of sanitizing gel when boarding the van.
  • Temperature check and record by the guide at arrival to the beach.
  • Once at the beach, maintain social distancing from guides and other guests.
  • Use sanitizing gel before touching the gear (oars, life vests, paddle boards, kayaks, etc.)
  • Mandatory use of facemasks during safety briefing and warm-up.
  • Maintain Social Distancing as much as possible during the tour.
  • Our guides will carry sanitizing gel with them in case you need it.
  • Our guides will wear a facemark during the whole tour. 
  • Disinfected water bottles.
  • Disinfected Snacks.
  • Washed fruit.
  • Cooler sanitized before and after every trip. 

Water & Snacks​

Kayak, paddle and snorkel gear

  • Kayaks, Paddleboards and Oars are thoroughly washed with soap and water at the end of day.
  • Kayaks, Paddleboards and Oars are disinfected after washing.
  • Snorkel gear is submerged in chlorine water for 2 hours, then rinsed thoroughly with water and sanitized.
  • All gear is sanitized between trips.
  • Snorkel gear is changed and sanitized every trip.
  • For added safety, bringing your own personal snorkeling gear is recommended.
