True Baja reserves the right to cancel any tour if necessary.
If the True Baja staff deems it necessary to end a tour at any moment and for any reason, they have the power to do so.
In case any of our tours is cancelled, True Baja reserves the right, at the company’s discretion, to reimburse or rebook the tour for another time.
True Baja is not responsible for any harm of any kind to any person, property or personal items in any of our tours.
None of our guests can bring alcohol or other substances, or be under the influence of them on any of our tours. Any guest who breaches this clause is subject to the cancellation of his/her activity with no right to rebooking or reimbursement.
True Baja Experience’s Whale Watching tours require a minimum of 4 guests to happen, otherwise True Baja reserves the right to reschedule the tour until the 4-guest minimum is achieved for a tour (applies only for shared tours).
TAX is included in our prices.
Payment can be done in cash, credit or debit card, PayPal or wire transfer, in Mexican pesos or US dollars, with the exchange rate established by True Baja.
In case of payment with credit or debit card or PayPal, a 5% transaction fee will be added to the cost.
The exchange rate to pesos will be established by True Baja on a daily basis, and any payments will be converted using the exchange rate of the day they’re effected.
In case of payments through PayPal, the applied exchange rate will not be the one used by PayPal, but the one established by True Baja for the day of the transaction.
Multi-day trips may have additional specific terms & conditions established in the description of every tour.
In True Baja, we have 3 different ways to enjoy Baja California Sur: Single day experiences (True Baja Experiences), fixed itinerary multi-day trips (True Baja Odysseys), and customized multi-day trips (True Baja Journeys). The terms and conditions for each of them are as follows:
T&C for True Baja Experiences:
Our single day experiences such as our “Paddle boarding to the Arch of Cabo & Snorkel”, “Kayak to the Arch of Cabo & Snorkel”, “Whale Watching” and “Reef to reef” tours, the booking and cancellation policy is as follows:
To ensure availability of the tour, reservations should be made by 8 pm of the day before the activity. In case of shorter notice, True Baja will try to accommodate the booking at its own discretion. In no case will True Baja accept a booking with less than 2 hours notice.
For 100% reimbursed cancellations, True Baja must be notified at least 24 hours before the activity.
If the guest misses the transportation at the agreed pickup spot and time and does not arrive to the activity starting point on its own, no reimbursement or rescheduling will be made.
In case of no-shows, no reimbursement or rescheduling will be made.
In case the tour ends for reasons attributable to the guest (seasickness, exhaustion, or any other reason outside of the company’s control), no reimbursement or rescheduling will be made.
In the event of cancellations due to Port Authority closing the port for activities, the client can choose either to reschedule or to be reimbursed.
In our Whale Watching tours, for the no-sighting guarantee to be valid, the captain and guide of the trip must confirm no whales were sighted. Seeing just a fin, tail, or whale activity from afar counts as a sighting and won’t be cause for rescheduling. If the staff confirms there was no sighting, rescheduling will be made for another tour with available space.
In case the client cancels due to health reasons, the client should present a medical note as proof to be eligible for 100% reimbursement or rescheduling, other wise no reimbursement or rescheduling will be made.
Tour prices may not be higher than those published in our website.
Tour prices include civil liability insurance for each paid participant, but we recommend you have your own personal travel insurance as well.
T&C for True Baja Odysseys and Journeys:
Any trip should be booked at least 30 days before departure and it will be subject to changes based on availability.
To confirm a booking, a 60% deposit is required per person.
If cancellations are made 30 days or earlier before the trip, a reimbursement of 80% of the deposit will be made.
If cancellations are made 15-29 days before the trip, a reimbursement of 60% of the deposit will be made.
If cancellations are made 7-14 days before the trip, a reimbursement of 40% of the deposit will be made.
If cancellations are made 6 days or less before the trip, no reimbursement will be made.
Activity pricing will not be higher than those published in our website and/or established in the final confirmed trip quote.
These trips do not include personal insurance for the travelers, so we require every participant to prove the purchase of their own personal travel insurance prior to the trip.
